ROTC Branches

Welcome to the ROTC Branches page of the NSTP website. The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program is one of the components of the NSTP, which aims to instill in students the values of patriotism, discipline, and service to the nation. The ROTC program is designed to develop leaders who are physically fit, mentally sharp, and possess the skills and knowledge necessary to serve as reserve officers in the Philippine Army, Navy, or Air Force.

Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM)

This branch focuses on training cadets for ground operations and warfare. The ARESCOM curriculum includes basic military tactics, marksmanship, map reading, and navigation. Cadets in ARESCOM also learn leadership and organizational skills, as well as physical fitness and combat readiness. In addition to classroom instruction, cadets undergo field training exercises to put their knowledge into practice. ARESCOM also emphasizes character development, instilling in cadets the values of discipline, loyalty, and service to the nation.

Naval Reserve Command (NAVRESCOM)

This branch specializes in naval operations and training cadets for the Philippine Navy. The NAVRESCOM curriculum includes maritime navigation, seamanship, ship handling, and naval operations. Cadets in NAVRESCOM also learn basic military tactics and leadership skills. Like ARESCOM, NAVRESCOM emphasizes character development and instills the values of discipline, loyalty, and service to the nation. Cadets also have the opportunity to participate in shipboard training exercises and gain hands-on experience with Navy equipment.

Air Force Reserve Command (AFRESCOM)

This branch trains cadets for the Philippine Air Force and focuses on air operations. The AFRESCOM curriculum includes aviation science, aerospace engineering, air navigation, and air operations. Cadets in AFRESCOM also learn basic military tactics and leadership skills. Like ARESCOM and NAVRESCOM, AFRESCOM emphasizes character development and instills the values of discipline, loyalty, and service to the nation. Cadets also have the opportunity to participate in flight training exercises and gain hands-on experience with Air Force equipment.
